October Newsletter

Hello family!
Welcome to the October Rubber Chicken Gazette! Wow. Three months in a row. Believe me, I'm just as surprised as you are! I'm getting pretty good at this.

Hope you all plan to dress up for Halloween this year. Never miss an opportunity to step outside of yourself and be silly! I'm going to be Mae West this year! Guess I have to wear booby clothes and flirt with men all night. Wait, that's what I already do!

Enjoy the Rubber Chicken. I hope you guys like this newsletter cause it's just for you! If you would like to have anything included in the newsletter, just send it via email to rubberchickengazette@gmail.com and I will put it in the next issue. Have a great month!

Funny Vision

I plan to produce a show at the Ice House Annex of Comedy Video Shorts. They have two video screens in the Annex now, which would be perfect. I have already talked to some of you who I know make funny videos. If you make videos and would like to be part of a show like this, please email Bobbie and let me know. BTW, this was Chris Oliver's idea after watching Tom, Yak, and Jovonnie's awesome "Mormonia" video!

Doo Dah Parade Delayed This Year

The Doo Dah Parade is not going to take place November 18 afterall. Thanks to Paula Johnson for sending me this newsclip:

"Saying the event's 'momentum' has grown to the point where extra planning time was advisable, Doo-Dah Parade organizers announced yesterday the irreverent Rose Parade spoof will step off at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 20th, 2008 instead of its usual November date."

We still plan to do it, so let me know if you want to march with us. It's so fun (and only $10 per person)!

Comedy Idol

Congrats to all the family who made it to the finals of The Improv's Comdedy Idol:
Barry Weisenberg, Richard Chang, and THE WINNER RYAN NIEMILLER!!!

Way to go Ryan! Ryan takes the crown from family friend, the awesome Thai Rivera. Go StandUp Academy!!

Ryan writes:

Thanks a bunch to everyone who came out to Comedy Idol tonight at the Ontario Improv. It meant a lot, and it's really cool that I was able to walk away the winner despite the tough competition. Everyone was really funny and it was a great night. And hell yeah for $500. :)

Scott Shimamoto-Looking for someone to work a new open mic

Scott writes:
I'm still working on setting an open mic up at the Zapata Vive restaurant in Arcadia. I think Wednesday's would be best.

The problem is that I can't make every week, so I would like to find a couple of people who could work it with me. The room is great because it is a banquet room in the back (so anything goes!!!)

Please contact me at rakamoto@yahoo.com if you are interested in doing it with me.
